What is a Privacy Statement ?
This Privacy Statement explains what information we hold about our members, why we hold it, how we protect it for you, and how you are able to have your information removed from our files if you so wish.
What information does Preston Art Society hold about you and why?
When you become a member of Preston Art Society, we record your name and home address, and also invite you to give us other contact details (e.mail address, landline or mobile telephone numbers). These details are stored electronically by the Society’s Membership Secretary. A copy of these details is forwarded to the Society’s Chairperson, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.
We hold this information in order to be able to contact you to inform you about the Society and its events, and also to validate our accounts. When we have a meeting of the Society, Health and Safety legislation requires us to keep a register which is maintained using the details we have been given by you.
Who do we share your personal information with?
We do not share your information with any other organisations.
How long do we keep your information?
We keep your information for as long as you remain a member of Preston Art Society.
If your membership lapses and you do not contact us, we shall remove all your details from our files after a period of three months from the date of renewal.
If you wish to see or to alter the personal information you have given us, please contact the Chairperson or Membership Secretary via the Society’s website..
